Installation Of New Roof & Cooling Towers For Landlord In Paramus NJ

JRM Construction Management installed a new roof and cooling towers for Vornado Realty Trust at their 210 Route 4 East property in Paramus, NJ.

The project entailed the demo of an existing cooling tower and the installation of new ones. The demo and re-roof of the building included asbestos abatement, replacement of all roof drains, installation of new flashings at all roof penetrations, masonry re-pointing and parging of the parapet walls, and removal and replacement of approximately 12 cell towers to allow for the roof replacement.

The cell towers serve three separate carriers, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon, with one tower for each carrier on each side of the building. The towers and their associated cabling were removed from the parapet, placed on new sled supports, and a new cable tray was installed to carry all the cabling for the relocated cell towers.

The new roofing system installation required our team to raise all of the curbs and rooftop equipment in order to work with the new roofing thickness. This included the compressor units for the CRAC units that serve Vornado’s data center. The project was performed while keeping them fully online.
