Revamp Of Flagship Store For British Fashion Retailer In Downtown Chicago

JRM Construction Management worked with UK retailer TopShop to redraft and revamp their U.S. flagship store in downtown Chicago. The interior fit-out project focused initially on the extensive structural work necessary to accommodate moving the store’s three escalators to the building’s perimeter, optimizing sales floor square footage.

A striking glass silhouette was introduced to the exterior three-story storefront with ample LED lighting throughout. The retail space was then crowned with high-end finishes such as a “floating” ceiling fashioned with an oversized, mirrored-laminate “Union Jack” flag.
