Expansive Building Conversion Into New Multi-Floor Luxury Auto Showroom

JRM Construction Management served as construction managers for the $35 Million renovation of Porsche’s New York City, 122,000 SF retail location on 11th Avenue. The 11-month structural and interior renovation began with the extensive excavation, underpinning, and shoring of the existing structure allowing for an entirely new building envelope of point supported glass and metal panel systems to be installed.

Notable features unique to the space include the removal of the second floor slab necessary for the i nstallation of an atrium, the addition of a rooftop event space, two auto lifts, extensive steel additions throughout to support new loads of vehicles and equipment, and a rear lot and site work area to facilitate continuous car stackers and storage. The refined LEED Gold facility houses luxurious-lifestyle automotive brands such as Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, and Bentley.
