Cutting-Edge Biochemistry Laboratories & Chemical Research Facilities

JRM Construction Management completed a modernization of the 9th-floor biochemistry laboratories at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT). Collaborating with FCA Architects and Meyers+ Engineers, along with Nycom Laboratory + Interior Construction, this project upgraded the biological and chemical research facilities for NYIT.

This renovation rejuvenated the labs with updated doors, ceilings, flooring, and lab casework. Major upgrades focused on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and sprinkler systems. Enhancements included new sprinkler and air conditioning systems, modernized plumbing fixtures, emergency response equipment including showers and eye wash stations, a new compressed air system, a vacuum pump system, and advanced fume hoods.

These upgrades, designed to support NYIT’s pioneering research, ensure that the facilities meet modern scientific and safety standards. JRM is committed to enhancing educational environments through strategic and high-quality construction solutions.
