LEED Gold Base Building Upgrades, MEPS & Critical Infrastructure, Lobbies
Location 295 5th Ave, New York, NY
Project Size 600,000 SF
JRM Construction Management completed an extensive building repositioning project for Tribeca Investment Group at 295 Fifth Avenue, also known as the storied Textile Building. The 600,000 SF, $120M scope included a complete repositioning of the existing commercial building to meet the needs of a modern workforce. Work on the full-block, 16-story project began with a full gut of the space and demolition of the top floor.
JRM constructed a new two-story, 34,000 SF penthouse atop the 100-year-old structure with new outdoor terraces, green spaces, and light-filled office floors. The ground-floor archways received a floor-to-ceiling glass treatment and metal panels that complement the brick façade. Additionally, a new lobby was built-out with a cafe, library, and access to the new first-floor courtyard. Upgrades to the building’s critical infrastructure systems included new elevator cores, new window systems, a fire suppression system, and state-of-the-art HVAC systems.
