Friedland Properties - In Progress
Core & Shell
JRM Construction Management is acting as the construction manager for the 46,400SF Friedland Properties project. Due to the buildings landmark status, JRM has been working hand-in-hand with the City of New York’s Landmarks Preservation Commission as well as working closely with both Page Ayres Cowley Architects and project engineer, Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, to meet the client’s vision and needs. The demolition of a two-story brick building began in July 2014 while three separate buildings with limestone and marble trim have since been erected on the property complete with a glass railed roof terrace and cast stone balustrades. Double height sidewalk vaults were constructed. JRM replaced all of the steel framing in the pre-existing building and removed the original columns to open up the floor plate. The $25 Million project is on schedule to be completed in December 2017.
