JRM is committed not only to excellence in construction, but excellence in citizenship as well. We take great pride in our community partnerships, volunteerism and support for charitable causes.
We provide financial support to not-for-profit organizations in several ways:
JRM Community Impact Grant Program
Through this program, JRM awards three grants of up to $25,000 each to support not-for-profit organizations and projects focused on three impact areas: Health; Education and/or Youth Services; and Housing and Food Security.
To be eligible, organizations must be considered tax exempt under Section 501©3 of the Internal Revenue Code and serve the geographical area of New York City, Long Island or Westchester County.
In the inaugural year of the program, JRM supported three outstanding projects, including:
The health award will go to Care for the Homeless, a 30-year old organization that fights homelessness by delivering high-quality and client-centered healthcare, human services and shelter to homeless individuals and families citywide.
In the education category, JRM is awarding the Stuttering Association for the Young (SAY), a Manhattan-based nonprofit arts education organization that has worked with young people who stutter since 2001.
In the category of Housing and Food Security, Citymeals on Wheels will receive a grant to continue their mission of serving homebound elderly New Yorkers.
The 2018 application period begins June 15, 2017 and the final day to submit proposals is September 1, 2017. Past applicants are welcome to submit as well. For more information and to apply for a Community Impact Grant, click here.
JRM supports the many diverse charitable causes that are important to our employees through a Corporate Matching Gift program. Through this program, we enable our team members to double their impact on the organizations they support.
Beyond financial donations, we support local organizations using our greatest asset, our team of dedicated employees. JRM staff donate hundreds of hours of their own time to local causes each year. In addition, on dedicated JRM Days of Service, we send teams to local nonprofits to roll up our sleeves and offer our unique skills and expertise to help them advance their goals.
